Alkonost

An alkonost has blue-black wings, bird legs and the face of a crowned woman. It comes from the old songs of paradise. Its song makes a listener forget their grief and then forget what they were doing. The alkonost means no harm by it, and travelers who hear one are found sitting where they stopped.
