PR 2

Nixie

A nixie holds a stretch of river by music, and her fiddling is better than any a village has heard. Listeners stand closer, the bank gives way, and the river takes them. She will teach the fiddle to a person who asks properly, for a price agreed in advance and always collected.

Traits

  • Amphibious

The nixie breathes air and water.

  • Home Water

The nixie cannot be compelled to leave the stretch of river or lake it holds and regains 10 hit points at the start of each of its turns while in it.

Actions

  • Clawed Grip

    +5 to hit · reach 5 ft.

    2d6 + 3 slashing damage

If the target is of Medium size or smaller it is Grappled (escape DC 13).

  • Luring Tune

Each creature within 60 feet that can hear it makes a DC 14 Wisdom save. On a failure it is Charmed for 1 minute and moves toward the water on each of its turns by the shortest route. It repeats the save when it takes damage or when it enters the water.

  • Drag Under Bonus action

The nixie moves up to its swim speed while Grappling a creature. A Grappled creature pulled underwater begins Suffocating.
