Barbegazi
Barbegazi ride avalanches standing upright on feet broad enough to serve as ski and spade. Their whistle is heard at a great distance, and mountain guides who hear it get off the slope. Barbegazi dig out the buried and refuse thanks. In summer they go down into the rock and sleep until the first hard frost.
