Gorella
A gorella is a white-furred primate twice the height of a human, with four muscular forearms and a pair of curved tusks jutting from its lower jaw. Whether the species is a natural apex predator or a Rift mutation of common ape stock is disputed. The tusks and extra limbs suggest a mutation, and populations appear only on worlds with measurable Rift resonance. Gorellas are solitary and territorial, marking their range by gouging trees with their tusks, and they attack anything large enough to threaten their food supply. A gorella opens with a charge that uses all four arms to batter the target to the ground, then pins and tears until the target stops moving.
