Pixie

Pixies lead travelers in circles: the path is right and the landmarks are right, and four hours later the travelers are back at the stile they started from. They do it for amusement and to a person who has been rude about them. They will also thresh a farmer's corn overnight for a bowl of cream, and ride his horses in circles until the manes are knotted past combing.

Traits

  • Turned Garment

A creature that turns a worn garment inside out immediately ends any Led Astray effect on that creature and cannot be targeted by it again for an hour.

  • Inconspicuous

The pixie has advantage on Stealth checks, and a creature that is not looking directly at it has disadvantage on Perception checks to notice it.

Actions

  • Thorn

+6 to hit · close range

    1d4 + 4 piercing damage

  • Led Astray

One creature within 60 feet makes a DC 12 Wisdom save. On a failure it becomes convinced it is going the right way for the next hour, and any travel check it makes fails regardless of the roll.

  • Knot the Mane

One mount within 5 feet makes a DC 12 Wisdom save or bolts, carrying its rider 1d4 x 100 feet in a random direction.
