Rarog
A rarog hatches from an egg held warm against the body for nine days and nights and never set down, a rite the holds still keep. What hatches is a falcon of fire that belongs to one hearth and guards it. A hold with a rarog does not burn, and a hold that lets its fire die loses the bird and usually the hold.
