Strix
A strix is about the size of a jackdaw and has a tube-shaped beak. It weighs so little that a sleeping adult does not wake when one lands, and the first sign is a mark and pallor in the morning. Whitethorn at the window and a barred door keep strix away from cradles, and the old calendars set aside a day for putting both up.

The strix attaches to the target. While attached it does not attack, and at the start of each of its turns the target loses 5 hit points and the strix regains them. The strix detaches when it has drained 10 hit points, when the target dies or when the strix is killed.
