Voidray
A voidray is a small predator of cave systems and lava tubes. At rest it hangs from the ceiling and looks like a stalactite until a creature walks under it. It releases magical darkness before it drops, so the creature's companions cannot see which of them it landed on. It wraps the creature's head, blinding it and cutting off its breath.
