PR 4

Dyryth

A dyryth eats mineral, chewing through soft strata and leaving a round bore that survey teams map and use. It has no eyes worth the name and no interest in anything that is not rock. The danger is tonnage: it does not notice a party in a tunnel, it does not stop, and the horn goes through shoring without changing pace.

  • Straight Bore

The dyryth moves in a straight line through soft rock, shoring and anything else in the way. It changes course only for hard granite or fire.

  • Mineral Diet

The dyryth consumes ore and stone. It has no interest in flesh and will not pursue a creature that leaves its bore.
