Korred

Korreds keep the stone circles on the moors by dancing in them every night. Whoever is pulled into the ring dances until sunrise or until their heart gives out. They braid their coarse hair into rope stronger than cable, hoard coin they have no use for, and will trade the hoard entire for a riddle they have not heard.

Traits

  • Stone Bound

Within 60 feet of a standing stone it has claimed, the korred regains 5 hit points at the start of each of its turns.

  • Hair Rope

The rope braided from its own hair has Armor Class 18 and 20 hit points, and cannot be cut by a weapon of less than +1 grade.

Actions

    +4 to hit · reach 5 ft.

    2d8 + 2 bludgeoning damage

  • Ring Dance

Each creature within 30 feet that can hear it makes a DC 13 Wisdom save. On a failure it is Charmed and must use its movement on each of its turns to move toward the korred and dance, taking 1d6 damage at the end of each of its turns. It repeats the save at the end of each of its turns, and the effect ends at dawn.

  • Riddle Truce Reaction

When a creature would attack the korred, the korred offers a riddle. If the creature accepts, both stop fighting until the riddle is answered or the korred is attacked by someone else.
