Oni Warrior
Gatehouses watch that quarter and shrines face it for this reason. An oni warrior wears the hide of the last big cat it killed and swings a kanabo heavy enough to take a gate off its hinges in two blows. It can wear a borrowed face for an evening, long enough to be seated at a table, and the horns are noticed under the hair too late.
