Sunborn
A Sorcerous Origin from the Plane of Ignis with fire resistance, rerolled 1s on fire and radiant damage, a blinding flare and a radiant form.
Identity
The Sunborn is the Sorcerous Origin from the Plane of Ignis, the plane of energy that keeps the cosmos from freezing. Sunborn are warm to the touch at rest and unpleasant to be near when angry. Sun-temples take a professional interest and are often rebuffed. On the frontier a Sunborn is the reason a settlement got through a winter and, in about one case in five, the reason it needed rebuilding in spring.
Features
- L3 Heat of Ignis
You have resistance to fire damage and do not suffer from extreme heat. You know the Light cantrip, and it does not count against your cantrips known. You shed dim light in a 5-foot radius, which you can suppress at will.
- L7 Clean Burn
When you deal fire or radiant damage with a spell, you can reroll any 1s on the damage dice once. Any creature that hits you with a melee attack while you are below half your hit points takes fire damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
- L11 Flare
As a bonus action, you can spend 2 Spell Points to flare. Each creature of your choice within 15 feet takes radiant damage equal to your Sorcerer level and must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or be Blinded until the end of your next turn.
- L15 Form of Ignis
As a bonus action, you can spend 5 Spell Points to let the plane through you for 1 minute. You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius, you have a flying speed of 30 feet, you have resistance to all nonmagical damage, and your spell attacks deal an extra 1d8 radiant damage.
- L18 Standing Star Capstone
Once per long rest, as an action, you can become a standing star for 1 minute. You are immune to fire damage, and any creature that starts its turn within 15 feet of you takes 3d8 radiant damage. Once on each of your turns, you can cast a sorcerer spell of 3rd level or lower without spending Spell Points.
