Vampire

Undead who kept their face, lost their reflection, and gained an appetite. A vampire retains everything it could do alive and adds the ability to take what other people are. It remains bound to its coffin and the ground it was buried in, which is the only reliable thing about it.

Features

  • Blood Drinker

Your bite is a natural melee weapon dealing 1d6 piercing damage. On a hit against a willing, grappled, restrained, or incapacitated creature you regain hit points equal to the damage dealt, and the target's hit point maximum drops by the same amount until it finishes a long rest.

  • Undying Frame

You are immune to disease and to poison damage, you do not age, and you do not need to breathe. You automatically succeed on death saving throws against damage that is not radiant.

  • Predator's Gaze

As an action you can attempt to charm one creature within 30 feet that can see you. It must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against DC 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus or be charmed for 1 minute. You regain this on a long rest.

  • Bound and Barred

You must rest in your coffin or in soil from your own grave to gain the benefit of a long rest. You cannot enter a residence uninvited, you have no reflection, and you take 2d4 radiant damage at the start of each turn you begin in direct sunlight.
