Swashbuckler
The Italian schools taught the point over the edge, as geometry: line, measure and tempo, drilled until they were reflex. A graduate fights on a staircase by choice, uses the off hand more than the sword hand, and spends the first exchange working out how the other one was taught. A swashbuckler shows off on purpose, because a distracted opponent has already lost the tempo.
