Thuul Hive Matriarch
A Primus-Matriarch is the sole reproductive female of a Thuul colony; females occur roughly once in a hundred thousand births. She lays every egg of the colony, can live for centuries, and holds an authority that the Dominus-Patriarch's combat record does not override. She is kept in the brood chambers under permanent guard, and killing one ends the colony.

Each hostile creature within 60 feet takes 8d6 psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. Thuul allies within 60 feet immediately move up to their speed toward a target of the Matriarch's choice.

When the Matriarch is hit by an attack and a Thuul is within 15 feet, that Thuul takes the attack instead, resolving it against its own Armor Class.
