Axis Executor

An Axis Executor is a frame of red and gray plate over an exposed actuator spine, with one arm ending in a monofilament blade longer than the arm. Axis sells the frame as industrial security and sells the contract software separately. An executor is given a name, a face and a closing date, and it works the contract until the target is dead or the closing date passes. Companies field executors in corporate towers, hive-cities and station undercities.

Traits

  • Contract Lock

At the start of combat it names one creature, which is the mark on its contract. It has advantage on attack rolls against that creature and on checks made to track it, and it cannot be made to attack anything else while the mark is standing.

  • Constructed Body

It needs no food, drink, air or sleep, and it cannot be put to sleep by any means.

  • Reads the Ground

It knows the location of any creature touching the same surface within 30 feet, even through a wall.

Actions

  • Multiattack

It makes two monofilament blade attacks and one servo fist attack.

  • Monofilament Blade

    +8 to hit · reach 10 ft.

    2d10 + 5 slashing damage

A cut from a blade with an edge one molecule thick.

  • Servo Fist

    +8 to hit · reach 5 ft.

    2d6 + 5 kinetic damage

A punch from its servo-driven hand.

  • Execution

    DC 15 Constitution save

This action targets only the executor's contracted mark. The mark makes a Constitution saving throw, taking 8d10 slashing damage on a failure and half as much on a success. If this reduces the mark to 0 hit points, the executor powers down where it stands. Recharges after it rolls a 6 on a d6 at the start of its turn.

  • Close the File Bonus action

It moves up to 40 feet toward its mark without provoking opportunity attacks.
