A face-sealing mask with a chest-mounted scrubber canister, rated for 1 hour of operation in vacuum, toxic atmosphere or smoke. After that hour the scrubber must be recharged at a Tier III or higher service station. It is lighter than a full EVA suit, and frontier prospectors and boarding parties wear one as backup if primary life support fails. The Halcyion Navy issues one to every rated crew member.
