You reach past surface reality and unravel one thing from the Rift weave. Choose one target. A single building or vessel is erased, and the space around it forgets it ever stood. A named individual's lineage is edited out of recorded history, and only those who witnessed the rite remember it. A city's name is forgotten by every mind that is not speaking it at that moment. The effect is permanent and can be reversed only by a rite of equal scale. Your maximum level of exhaustion is permanently reduced by 1d4, and Ether-sensitive creatures recognize you on sight for the rest of your life.
An apex spell. Casting it takes class level 20 and Rift Affinity 6, once per long rest, at the cost of a level of exhaustion and a Surge Table roll, as Apex spells in the Rules sets out.
