PR 3

Caoineag

The caoineag is a pale green, translucent woman in a long gown that ends in mist, with her hands in her hair. She is heard more often than seen, wailing from the burn or the loch on the night before someone in the house dies. She does not cause the death and cannot prevent it. She grieves in advance, and a household that hears her starts settling its affairs.

    DC 13 Wisdom save

She wails. Every creature within 30 feet that can hear makes a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure it takes 3d6 psychic damage and has disadvantage on attack rolls until the end of its next turn. A creature at half its hit points or fewer that fails also falls Prone, weeping.
