Cleric
Caster Healer Support
A full channeler who prepares spells from the whole Cleric list, casts with Wisdom, uses Spell Divinity for short-rest effects and chooses a Divine Domain at 3rd level.
Basics
Identity
Clerics are channelers whose conduit is devotion. Faith works as a Rift-conducting structure like any other: doctrine focuses the channel the way a formula does for a Wizard, and a Cleric whose conviction breaks loses access to spells until it is repaired. Parties rely on Clerics for healing and for removing conditions and curses. The Divine Domain a Cleric chooses at 3rd level decides the rest of what the Cleric does.
Proficiencies
Channeling
| Level | Cantrips |
|---|---|
| 1 | all |
Prepares spells each long rest from the Cleric spell list. Prepared count = WIS modifier + Cleric level (minimum 1). Spell save DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + WIS modifier. Domain spells granted by your Divine Domain are always prepared and do not count against your prepared limit.
Level Progression
- L1Spells
You channel Rift Energy through devotion. You know all Cleric cantrips. After each long rest, you prepare a number of leveled spells equal to your Wisdom modifier + your Cleric level (minimum 1). Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for spell attack rolls and your spell save DC.
Weapon and Tool TrainingYou gain proficiency with one martial weapon and one tool of your choice, such as smith's tools, an herbalist's kit or a religious artisan's tool.
- L2Spell Divinity (1 use)
Once per short rest, you can channel divine Rift into a single decisive effect. At 2nd level you gain one use of Spell Divinity and one option, Turn Unfaithful. Your Divine Domain at 3rd level adds more options. Turn Unfaithful. As an action, you present your holy symbol. Each hostile creature within 30 feet that can see or hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be Frightened of you for 1 minute.
- L3 Subclass featureDivine Domain
Choose a Divine Domain: Dark Dominion (death and endings), Divine Adjudicator (judgment under a god's commission), Domain of Knowledge (archives and records), Domain of Nature (the living world), Domain of Order (law and oaths), Domain of the Moon (Deimos and the passage of the dead), Domain of the Sun (Helios and creation), Domain of War (the battle line), Spirit Sage (mediums and the Spirit Plane), or Tech-Priest (the machine as sacrament). Your Domain grants features now and at 7th, 11th, 15th, and 18th level.
- L4 ASI / Feat
- L5Destroy Unfaithful
When a creature fails its saving throw against your Turn Unfaithful, it is destroyed if it is an undead, a fiend or a Rift-aberrant creature and its Power Rating or level is equal to or less than half your Cleric level (rounded down). An undead, fiend or Rift-aberrant creature that fails the save and is not destroyed is Unconscious for 1 minute or until it takes damage, instead of Frightened.
- L6Spell Divinity (2 uses)
You have two uses of Spell Divinity, regained when you finish a short rest.
- L7 Subclass feature
- L8 ASI / Feat
- L9Warding Word
When a creature you can see within 30 feet is hit by an attack, you can use your reaction and expend one use of Spell Divinity to speak a warding word. The damage from that attack is reduced by 2d8 + your Wisdom modifier, and the target cannot be moved against its will by that attack.
- L10Divine Intervention Capstone
You can call on your patron for direct aid. As an action, describe the help you want and roll percentile dice. If the roll is equal to or lower than your Cleric level, your patron intervenes. The GM determines the form of the intervention, using spells of any level you can cast and divine effects as guides. After a successful Divine Intervention, you cannot use this feature again for 7 days. After a failed attempt, you can try again after a long rest.
- L11 Subclass feature
- L12 ASI / Feat
- L14Improved Destroy Unfaithful
The Power Rating threshold for Destroy Unfaithful rises to three-quarters of your Cleric level (rounded down). An undead, fiend or Rift-aberrant creature that fails its save against Turn Unfaithful is destroyed if its Power Rating or level is equal to or less than that number.
- L15 Subclass feature
- L16 ASI / Feat
- L18 Subclass featureSpell Divinity (3 uses)
You have three uses of Spell Divinity, regained when you finish a short rest.
- L19 ASI / Feat
- L20Improved Divine Intervention Capstone
Once per long rest, you can use Divine Intervention without rolling, and it succeeds automatically. The GM picks the form from a list of significant results, such as a Tier IV spell cast on your behalf, a regional weather change, the appearance of a sympathetic NPC or a piece of timely intelligence. After this use, you cannot invoke Divine Intervention again until you finish a long rest.
