Kessari mature quickly and fly before most peoples walk well. Eight decades is a long life, and most who reach it have settled into a roost and a teaching post.

Features

  • Hollow-Boned

Your bones are hollow and your keel is light. You count as one size smaller for anything that would carry, lift, or restrain your weight, and you take no damage from a fall of 60 feet or less as long as you are not Restrained or Incapacitated. Falling this way costs your reaction.

  • Kessari Sight

Your eyes resolve detail at long range. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight at distances of 100 feet or greater, and you can identify discrete shapes, such as a sigil, a face, or a weapon, at twice the distance other humanoids of similar training can.

  • Flock Bond

You read the carriage and crest of other Kessari and of flying beasts. You have advantage on Wisdom (Animal Handling) checks made with other Kessari or with non-sapient birds and flying beasts trained to hunt. Trained flying companions you direct do not require an action to maintain command.

  • Wind-Tongue

You can read, write, and speak Kessic, the whistled and clicked trade cant the flying peoples use because it travels across open air, and Common.

  • Flock Answer

You move up to half your speed toward the attacker without provoking opportunity attacks. If the attacker is within your reach when you arrive, you can make one melee weapon attack against it as part of the same reaction. You can use this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
