Identity
Rogues work in the unwatched corridor, the open window and the moment an opponent's attention is somewhere else. They do not channel. They have the broadest skill list in the game and speak a professional cant learned in the trade. Most factions hire them, each under its own job title, and the Roguish Archetype chosen at 3rd level names the job: killer, con artist, hacker, spy, boarder, wrecker, spell-thief, burglar or stage magician.
Proficiencies
Level Progression
- L1Sneak Attack
Once per turn, you can deal an extra 1d6 damage to one creature you hit with an attack if you have advantage on the attack roll. The attack must use a finesse or ranged weapon. You don't need advantage if another enemy of the target is within 5 feet of it, that enemy isn't Incapacitated, and you don't have disadvantage on the attack roll. The Sneak Attack die count increases as you gain levels (see the progression below: 2d6 at 3rd, 3d6 at 5th, 4d6 at 7th, 5d6 at 9th, 6d6 at 11th, 7d6 at 13th, 8d6 at 15th, 9d6 at 17th, 10d6 at 19th).
Underworld TongueYou know one of the following languages as your professional vocabulary: Meridian Cant, Federation Standard, High Aurelian, Thuulean (basic), or one criminal cipher of your invention. Other speakers of the language understand you. Non-speakers hear gibberish.
ExpertiseChoose two of your skill proficiencies, or one skill proficiency and your proficiency with Thieves' tools. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of the chosen proficiencies.
