- Casting Time
- 1 hour (ritual)
- Duration
- Permanent
- Range
- Extreme · 20 miles
- Components
- V · S · M (a tide-stone keyed to the target coast and two Tier V tidal relics, all consumed)
Over an hour you anchor a rift to deep ocean and let it bleed. Seawater pours through in a sustained wall that drowns the lowlands of the targeted region under tens of feet of water. Coastal cities are inundated, rivers run backward, and low valleys become inland seas. The new shoreline does not recede. Inhabitants who have not evacuated when the rite completes are lost.
An apex spell. Casting it takes class level 20 and Rift Affinity 6, once per long rest, at the cost of a level of exhaustion and a Surge Table roll, as Apex spells in the Rules sets out.
The tide line
A line opens low and forks. Where you go from here depends on what you took to get here.
